Drop-in Workshop (Free): Printing with Apples

Drop by the Welcome Centre Workshop and create 19th-century print designs using apples. Workshops generally require 15-20 minutes to complete and begin at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

Heritage Gardening Workshop: Planting garlic and other bulbs and let it go to seed

In this workshop, you will learn to plant garlic so that next summer you have beautiful scapes and wonderful bulbs. You do not ever again have to eat imported, bleached, sprayed garlic. It is also time to get in your flower bulbs. In the second part of this session, we will present seed saving and how to continue the food cycle. Seed saving is critical to food security and democratic citizenship. Saving seed is a political position! You will learn why we should save seed, and how to save seeds such as tomato, cucumber, nasturtium, and basil.
