Pleasures & Pastimes: A Children’s Festival
Calling all kids (and kids at heart)! Join the villagers for 19th-century games, storytelling, crafts, theatre, music, and more at Kings Landing’s opening weekend. We have so much planned and would love to welcome you back for our 48th season. Here’s what’s happening this weekend:
✨ Saturday, June 11
– Puppet making at 11 am in the Theatre
– Children’s stories at 1 pm in the Theatre
– Baseball game at 2 pm behind the Learning Centre
– Children’s songs at 3 pm in the Theatre
✨ Sunday, June 12
– Children’s stories at 11 am in the Theatre
– Children’s picnic at 1 pm in the Perley Orchard hosted by the Benevolent Women’s Society
– Children’s songs at 3 pm in the Theatre
All weekend, children can pop into the Sash & Door, the Scott Barn, the Blacksmith and the Print Shop to see how toys like rolling biscuits, wooden spoons, bookmarks, and captured hearts are made. The households will have activities like flower crown making, checkers, hoop & stick games, fox & goose games, and more!
