NBCCD Hoyt Residency Program
This is an exciting collaboration between the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) and Kings Landing! NBCCD’s brand Artist Residency program takes place at Hoyt House at Kings Landing, in Prince William, NB. The residency provides art professionals with the studio space to pursue their creative works. Participants have access to the beautiful historical village as well as the permanent collection during their stay and will be encouraged to connect their project ideas to the inspiring living history museum that surrounds them.
Interaction with the visitors will be a key component throughout the residency; Hoyt house will have an Open Studio day one day a week, and during the residency, each participant will be asked to offer a half-day workshop or demonstration to the public. Residents are required to be in the studio for a minimum of 30 hours per week and are responsible for their own transportation to and from the location. Participants will also have the opportunity to show their work in MacBeath Hall at Kings Landing during their end of season exhibition in September.
Check out NBCCD’s Eventbrite page for a list of workshops for the 2019 season.
