Whether you enjoy interacting with visitors from all over the world or helping behind the scenes, we invite you to share your talents and love of history by joining our community of volunteers!

Collections Centre Volunteer

If you love visiting Kings Landing and admire the artefacts and historical objects in the Village and on display in the Welcome Centre, consider becoming a Collections Centre Volunteer! Kings Landing is home to over 90,000 artefacts that require documentation and care. Share your love for history by assisting our collections and exhibits team.

As a Collections Centre Volunteer, you will:

  • Spend time among Kings Landing’s vast artefact collection;
  • Learn about New Brunswick’s history;
  • Interact with our staff and visitors who share your interests;
  • Gain experience in a museum setting and collect volunteer hours;
  • Receive free admission to Kings Landing; and,
  • Receive an invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Day at the end of the season.

Volunteer Villager

If you love visiting Kings Landing and have dreamed of being part of the Village, consider becoming a Volunteer Villager! Don one of our period costumes and get ready to say “Good Day” to our visitors as they explore Kings Landing. Share your warm spirit and love of history as you assist our costumed interpreters in greeting guests in the Village and answering any questions they may have.

As a Volunteer Villager, you will:
• Spend time outdoors in a scenic, open-air museum
• Meet our friendly farm animals and hop on our horse & wagon rides
• Learn about New Brunswick’s history
• Interact with our staff and visitors who share your interests
• Gain experience in a museum setting and collect volunteer hours
• Receive free admission to Kings Landing
• Receive an invitation to our Volunteer Appreciation Lunch towards the end of the season
