The Village

Kings Landing has a relentless passion for making history jump out of the history books. Stories abound as you meet our community of colourful characters who work, live, and laugh together. The work is plentiful; the tasks of making ends meet in the 19th century is a constant concern. Guests are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and pitch in—after all, many hands make light work.

Visit villagers in their homes, places of work, in the fields or at the pub. Meet the millwright, the carpenter, the printer, the blacksmith, Mr. Grant in his store, or join any one of the ladies in their homes as they tend to chores. Don’t be surprised when you’re asked to pitch in. It takes a village to make, well, a village!

Livestock is also an important part of the community—and taking care of them is a full-time job in itself!  Enjoy the simplicity of horse-drawn carriages and wagons—and be sure to hitch a ride, for a truly memorable tour of the Village.
