Maple, the First Taste of Spring!

Celebrate the coming of the new season with “Maple, the First Taste of Spring!” returning March 9, 10, 16 & 17, 2024.Since 1984, Kings Landing has welcomed guests in March to mark the coming of spring and partake in New Brunswick’s delicious maple history. This event is a tradition many New Brunswickers hold dear, and it’s a must-do for first-timers too.
At “Maple, the First Taste of Spring,” guests will enjoy a 19th-century sugaring demonstration, delightful maple candy on the snow, fun horse & wagon rides, lovely scenery, visits to select historic homes, and more.

The following buildings will be open for guests to visit:

  • Welcome Centre
  • Hagerman House
  • Joslin Farm
  • Gordon House

Admission fees for this event cover entry to the site only. Tickets can be purchased onsite or in advance on Eventbrite. Visitors with Eventbrite tickets or who already have a 2024 Season Pass will enter a separate lineup.

Prices listed below include tax, but do not include Eventbrite processing fees:

  • Family (2 adults, 2 children ages 6 – 16) – $22.00
  • Adult – $12.00
  • Senior (65+) – $7.00
  • Student (ID required – $7.00
  • Youth (6-15 years) – $7.00
  • Child (5 & under) – Free
  • Military (ID required) – Free

Season passholders get in for FREE! Request yours today or at the event.
“Long-licks” (maple candy on snow) can be purchased onsite only for $2.50 each. Debit/credit payment can be made at the admission desk; only cash is accepted at the candy station.

What goes well with maple syrup? Pancakes! The Luxor Shriners of New Brunswick will be fundraising to support children’s medical expenses. Available from 10 am-2 pm are pancakes with eggs, home fries, meat, coffee, tea, and juice. Visitors can purchase their tickets for breakfast from the Shriners at the event or in advance on their Eventbrite page (link to be added). You are not required to purchase admission to Kings Landing to take part in the breakfast.

Kings Landing is open from 10 am – 3 pm. Horse and wagon rides run until 2:30 pm.
