Root Cellar and Preservation Workshop

Explore the art of food preservation at our historic village workshop! Learn about root cellars, traditional winter food storage, and New Brunswick’s culinary history. Through hands-on demonstrations, you’ll discover canning, pickling, and other preservation techniques used by early settlers. Gain practical skills while uncovering the fascinating methods that kept food fresh through the long winters. Price includes admission to Kings Landing and light refreshments.
Date: August 31 from 1pm to 4pm.
Price: $50 for seasonpassholders and $60 for general public plus online booking fees (taxes, admission and supplies included).
Maximum of four people. Ages 16 and up.
